It’s a film that has good intentions, but unfortunately that alone doesn’t guarantee the quality of the film. ‘Even Money’ focuses on several seemingly unrelated people whose lives are ruined by gambling addiction. It’s one of those movies where you understand what the filmmaker is trying to convey or express right from the first scene. Unfortunately, Mark Rydell couldn’t effectively depict the ills of gambling, which is a shame considering its highly ambitious storyline....
